Although it’s technically our ninth ride, as COVID paused us in 2020, we’re still going strong! On July 12, 2025, we’re excited to unveil a brand-new route, taking us into uncharted territory – Eau Claire. While we’ve all come to cherish our rides across the state, this year, we’re shaking things up. Rather than sticking to the traditional route across Wisconsin, we’re exploring new possibilities right in the Eau Claire area. Our goal is to bring the spirit of RAW to other cities beyond those along the border, offering them the chance to host and make the start and finish in the same location. Think of it as Ride Across Wisconsin, in a whole new way!

The 2025 route offers two distances, 100 miles or 180 miles, with rest stops approximately every 20 miles, hosted at some truly iconic locations you won’t want to miss. One stop features a farm dedicated to raising healthy, happy animals, where they have access to fresh air, sunshine, and open pastures to roam freely and express their natural behaviors—this is where pigs get to be pigs! Another stop takes you to a historic site and one of the state’s most scenic destinations, a grist mill built in 1864 that remained in operation until 1968.

We are also offering a family fun ride of 13.5 miles. Embark on an adventure through Eau Claire, known as “The City of Bridges!” Discover stunning bridges that tower above the Chippewa River, light up the night with dazzling displays, and link downtown to nearby attractions. Explore the charming footbridges of Eau Claire, each one rich in history, stories, and character.

Registration opens 1/5/25. Please visit www.rideacrosswisconsin.com

About me

A person wearing a yellow helmet, sunglasses, and warm winter clothing smiles while outside in a snowy Minnesota landscape. They are pointing at something, perhaps one of the scenic mountain bike trails nearby, as the sun shines brightly overhead.

I’m Jan, the publisher of Minnesota Trails Magazine. I’m looking for that one trail, the next ride, a new discovery and other reasons to never sit still in Minnesota.
