September 16, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 6:00 pm

Explore the Zumbro River Valley gravel from the charming town of Hammond, Minnesota. Climb out of the valley, descend winding roads, ride the rollers, and enjoy views of farmland, bluffs, and the Zumbro River. Riders will enjoy food and refreshments from The Basic Place Cafe which will provide a beverage of choice, baked goods, and food for recovery. Plan to stay for festivities after the ride. This is a family friendly event, so bring the kids.

Distances:
The Pedal Paddle: 7 mile pedal / 7 mile paddle  Begins with a short windy flatland bike through Buckman Coolie.  When you reach the Zumbro Falls canoe landing, hop in your nautical craft of choice and paddle bake to Hammond.  Some Kayak’s are available courtesy of Broken Paddle Guiding Company.

The Mighty Z: 45 miles / 2,619 ft. of climbing. This route is best for experienced gravel riders ready for a climbing challenge. The Tin Man: 29 miles / 1,691 ft. of climbing. This route is for beginning to intermediate gravel riders. It includes a beautiful, winding climb out of the valley, rolling hills, farmland, exhilarating descents, and stretches of flat miles along the Zumbro River.

The River Ramble: 14 miles along the Zumbro River between Hammond and Zumbro Falls. This flat route is an out and back, so you can shorten your ride and return to Hammond at any time. This route is perfect for beginning gravel riders, families, kids, and babies in Burleys.
