The Great Gear Up And Gather

Apr 11, 2024Events, News

If you ever became a fan of the biannual outdoor Expo at Midwest Mountaineering, you know it was about more than getting a line on new gear; it was a connector of people and organizations who shared a spirit for getting out in the natural world and swapping adventure plans and stories over a beverage. Paddle Bridge Guide Collective, the Twin Cities’ leading guided kayaking service on the Mississippi River, and Saint Paul Brewing are reminding people that we are still a part of that community by inviting folks to The Great Gear-Up & Gather on April 28, noon-5pm.

Located at Saint Paul Brewing, the site of the original Hamm’s Brewery, this free and family-friendly event welcomes outdoor communities to a springtime gathering to swap out gently used gear at an open-air market. There will be a dedicated area for a trunk gear sale with an adjoining paddle craft auction site. Gear sale items are not strictly paddling – any gently used or new equipment you are looking to rehome is welcome. Friends can browse or sell with beverage in hand, learn about partner organizations at booths, and take a break inside or on the patio until the auction kicks off. We believe our outdoor community still exists and is growing for the better. Come experience it for yourself.
