Casual three day bikepacking trip through Kandiyohi and Renville counties, beginning and ending in Willmar, MN. The first day of the trip heads south into Renville County to stay at Mack Lake County Park along the Minnesota River. The next day the trip follows the river with a stop in Beaver Falls County park before ending the night at Skalbekken County park. The final day will be a trek back up to Willmar taking mostly gravel roads. This event highlights the historical points of interest and scenic views of Kandiyohi & Renville Counties.
Breakfast and dinner will be served for the overnight stays in both parks. There’ll also be an acoustic performance from a local artist at Skalbekken that Saturday night.
This is an unsupported bikepacking event . However, there’ll be some guidance and checkpoints with water, and proper precautions will be taken in case of an emergency. All riders who complete the event will receive a patch with the event logo at the end of the event on Sunday.
