Wooden Skis and Youthful Racers at William O'Brien

The young kids racing their hearts out stole the show at the 42nd annual William O'Brien State Park/Marine on St. Croix Ski Race yesterday.

Older folks had their fun, too -- especially with the Wooden Ski Tour, where the old-fashioned skis are often matched by flannel, wool and knickers on the skiers. (It seems somehow fitting that the first and second place winners of the traditional ski event were both named "Bjorn.")
