The 114-mile Soo Line Recreational Trail starts at Superior, Wisconsin and ends near Little Falls. It runs as an ATV trail to the City of Isle just south of Lake Mille Lacs where it is paved to Onamia. It continues onto Hwy 10 north of Royalton where it again becomes a paved trail to meet the Lake Wobegon Trail south of the City of Bowlus.
The Eastern Soo Line Trail has 12 paved miles between Isle, and Onamia has an adjoining ATV trail. It also connects Mille Lacs/Kathio State Park with Father Hennepin State Park.
The Western segment of the Soo Line Trail was dedicated in the summer of 2007 becoming one of the most remote and scenic non-motorized recreational trails in Minnesota.
The Soo Line Trail East connect two of Minnesota’s most beautiful state parks, Father Hennepin State Park on the east and Mille Lacs Kathio State Park on the west.
