A visit to Father Hennepin State Park is a seasonal celebration of the senses. The park is named for the French Jesuit priest who was one of the first recorded European explorers in Minnesota.

Dominated by grand Mille Lacs Lake, the park's moods reflect those of the great water, the largest natural lake in Minnesota. The 316-acre wooded peninsula park is popular by virtue of its extensive shoreline. Read more:
