Yurts so Good

Four nights in a yurt at Cuyuna: Joy and Pain

A sunny day and fresh tar makes for lots of smiles.

On National Trails Day, June 6th, hundreds came out to attend the ribbon cutting, have cake, listen to speeches and enjoy a sunny day on Minnesota's latest recreational destination, the Brown's Creek State Trail. It's only about six miles long, but makes a very important connection between the Gateway State Trail and downtown Stillwater.

All smiles on the Heartland Trail

Gray skies and a threat of rain couldn't keep cyclists away from the first annual Bike Opener at Heartland Park in Park Rapids last Saturday, May 16. Over 300 came to see the ribbon cutting for the new bridge over the Fish Hook River and ride the Heartland Trail in celebration of what chamber director Nicole Lalum hopes will be an annual event much like other season openers across the state.
