| Description: | Registration fee includes $5 discount entrance to Split Rock Lighthouse grounds. $13, event award; $8, IVV credit only; $7, walk only. Walkers who hold a membership in the Minnesota Historical Society do not have to pay the $5 Lighthouse entrance fee. Award: Leather lighthouse pin. Pre-registration for award is recommended: deadline is August 24. Awards can be reordered with $1 additional charge for postage. Distance: Event is sanctioned for 10km. The trail will be made up of a 7km trail out into the park and a 3km trail that will include the Split Rock Lighthouse & History Center grounds. Trail details and rating: There is a set of steps on both trails, but we’ll be walking down. The park trail is made up of hard packed dirt, grassy trails and some paved bike trail. Lighthouse loop is mostly hard packed trail. Mostly shady, some small hills. Rating: 3. Note: Except for the steps these trails can accommodate big tire outdoor strollers. |

| Comments: | Special event info: Registration fee includes a discounted entry fee into the Lighthouse grounds, which is part of the 3km trail. While on the Lighthouse grounds you may take the lighthouse tour and stay on the grounds and visit all open facilities during their 100th anniversary year.
