This ride is the kick-off ride for the opening of the Mississippi River Trail Bikeway (MRT) in Little Falls. We’ll start at 8AM at Le Bourget Park in Little Falls. The route will follow the River Road past Lindbergh State Park to Blanchard Dam, across the Mississippi and back into Little Falls via Hillton Road. Refreshments and restroom facilities will be available at Blanchard Dam. The total route is about twenty miles long.
The ride is free, but any donations will go to the Little Falls Convention and Visitor’s Bureau in an effort to help make Little Falls more bike-friendly. That means more signage and designated lanes and the like, creating more opportunities for you to ride.
This event will be held in conjunction with the Little Falls Dam Festival, so there will be plenty of stuff to do, once you get off your bikes. The Dam Festival parade starts at 11AM, you don’t want to miss that!
Sign up the day of the ride. The first 50 riders will receive a water bottle and a bike tail light.
