The Breast Cancer Ride, in its third year, benefits Open Arms of Minnesota and Susan G. Komen For the Cure ® Minnesota Affiliate, will take place August 7-8, 2010. This two-day fundraising Ride will start and stop at the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. A safe and beautiful southern route has been selected to take Riders down to our overnight campsite, Treasure Island Resort and Casino.
The Breast Cancer Ride is for everyone. It’s a ride, not a race. It’s for the new rider just dusting off the bike after years of it being stationary and it’s for the long distance cyclist who doesn’t let the rain or snow stop them from hittin’ the road. And most of all, the Breast Cancer Ride is for you! We’ve chosen a route that works for everyone, so no matter what your ability you’ll be able to ride with us!
And yes, there is a fundraising element to the Ride, but we will provide you with all the necessary tools to meet and exceed your fundraising goal. Adult Riders are required to raise $750 (minors and full-time students have a $375 donation minimum) which helps support the free meal delivery program for those going through breast cancer. We believe that no one should go hungry during this difficult period in their lives.
