Minnesota Trails

Bring your sweetie out for an afternoon/evening candlelight walk or snowshoe on Saturday, February 11 between 3 and 9 p.m. at Lake Maria State Park. Short 1km and 2km trails will be lit with luminaries to guide you on your walk through the park. Registration fee: $2 includes snowshoe rental. Limited availability so you might have to wait for a pair to be turned in, or just walk the routes. Awards available for $8. A participant picnic will be available for a suggested donation to cover costs. In the event of extreme weather, event will be held February 18.

Come join in our fall colors between Walker, Hackensack and Longville. Special Events are held throughout with art shows, a traveling car show, and so much more.

Our race includes the Marathan, 1/2 Marathan and a Kids Fun Race. Each year we have around 900 runners with 300 local volunteers to make sure their journey through the woods is safe and fun.

The Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting the 19th Annual Ethnic Fest, starting with a parade with participants from far and near. The streets come alive with music and dance, crafters and food vendors representing many cultures.

An annual celebration featuring 30 select Artists with Exibitions, delightful food and Jazz music. Come sample the wines made from the fruits and berries that survive the Northern Winters.

A three day event including many forms of dance, along with lessons, childrens parade, Mardi Gras parade, music and Cajun style food.
